The Verdict
The Acer SH273 P1si is a versatile hybrid that bridges the gap between a high-speed gaming display and a flexible office monitor. Its defining strength is the ErgoStand, providing height adjustment, tilt, and a rare +/- 360° swivel that ensures a perfect viewing angle in any desk setup. Visuals are handled by a 144Hz IPS panel, delivering accurate colors and 178-degree viewing angles that remain crisp during fast-paced motion, supported by AMD FreeSync to eliminate screen tearing.
There are, however, logical trade-offs. The 1080p resolution on a 27-inch panel means the pixel density is lower than smaller screens, which eagle-eyed users might notice as slightly soft text during heavy document work. Connectivity is also strictly legacy-leaning, offering only HDMI 1.4 and VGA while omitting a DisplayPort.
Despite these limits, the value proposition is clear: you are getting a responsive 144Hz gaming experience paired with premium ergonomics typically reserved for much more expensive productivity displays. For those who need a spacious, fully adjustable screen for all-day comfort and smooth after-hours gaming, the SH273 is a highly practical, budget-friendly buy.
