ASUS ROG XG27ACS 27 Inch 1440p 180Hz USB-C G-SYNC HDR Gaming Monitor | DisplayHDR 400, sRGB 133%, 1ms (GTG), Fast IPS, ELMB Sync, AI Gaming, Free Sync, for PS5 and Xbox

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACS is a performance-first 1440p monitor that punches well above its weight class. Its standout feature is the 180Hz Fast IPS panel, which delivers exceptional motion clarity and a 1ms GTG response time, making it ideal for competitive shooters. Users consistently praise the ELMB Sync technology, which allows for simultaneous use of motion blur reduction and variable refresh rate—a rare feature that effectively eliminates ghosting and tearing. The inclusion of a USB-C port (DP Alt Mode) and a unique tripod socket on the stand makes it a versatile hub for both gaming and content creation.

Value vs. Trade-off

Strengths: You are getting superb color accuracy with 133% sRGB coverage and a high-refresh QHD panel that rivals the speed of much more expensive displays. The DisplayWidget Center software provides a significant quality-of-life boost, allowing you to adjust monitor settings directly via your mouse rather than fumbling with physical buttons.

Weaknesses: The HDR400 certification is entry-level, meaning it lacks the peak brightness and local dimming required for a true high-dynamic-range experience. Furthermore, the USB-C port does not provide significant Power Delivery, so it won't charge a power-hungry gaming laptop while in use.

Final Verdict: While it skips the premium HDR and high-wattage charging found on flagship models, these trade-offs are entirely justified by its aggressive pricing. For gamers who prioritize fluid motion, sharp QHD visuals, and reliable color reproduction, the XG27ACS is arguably the best value 27-inch gaming monitor currently on the market.
