ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQ3B 34 Inch 1440p 180Hz Ultrawide HDR Gaming Monitor | ELMB Sync, 1ms,1500R Curve, 90% DCI-P3, Built-In Speakers, FreeSync Premium, DisplayWidget Center, for PS5 and Xbox

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQ3B delivers a high-speed, immersive ultrawide experience that punches well above its weight class. At its core, the 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT provide a fluid gaming experience that is rare for a display in this price bracket. Users consistently praise the 1500R curvature for its ability to pull you into the action without causing significant distortion, while the 4000:1 contrast ratio ensures deep, ink-like blacks that make it a superior choice for atmospheric horror titles and cinematic media compared to standard IPS alternatives.

The trade-off for this value is found in the inherent characteristics of its VA panel. You will notice some "black smearing" during high-speed transitions—dark trails that can follow moving objects in fast-paced shooters. Additionally, while it supports HDR10, the lack of local dimming means the HDR performance is basic, often looking better with the feature disabled. Some users also report minor text fringing (red or green auras around white text) which may slightly impact productivity workflows.

Ultimately, these compromises are standard for budget-conscious VA displays, and ASUS mitigates the motion issues better than most with its ELMB Sync technology. When you factor in the 3-year warranty and the inclusion of high-quality cables, the VG34VQ3B remains an unbeatable "buy" for gamers who prioritize immersion and high refresh rates over professional color accuracy. For the price, you simply won't find a more responsive 34-inch canvas.
