ASUS ROG XG34WCDG 34 Inch 1440p 175Hz Ultrawide OLED G-SYNC Gaming Monitor | OLED Care Pro, 0.03ms, ELMB, True 10-bit, 99% DCI-P3, DisplayHDR 400, ELMB Sync, for PS5 and Xbox

The ASUS ROG Strix XG34WCDG is a high-performance hybrid designed for users who refuse to choose between competitive gaming speed and professional-grade color accuracy.

Value vs. Trade-off

* The Value: This monitor centers on a 3rd-gen QD-OLED panel that delivers 0.03ms response times and a 175Hz refresh rate, ensuring elite motion clarity. Gamers love the infinite contrast ratio and vibrant 99.3% DCI-P3 color gamut, while creators benefit from factory-calibrated Delta E < 2 accuracy. The standout feature is the Neo Proximity Sensor, which pairs with a custom passive heatsink to aggressively combat burn-in by dimming the screen the moment you walk away.
* The Trade-off: The 15W USB-C Power Delivery is a missed opportunity, as it won't charge most laptops during use. You may also notice minor text fringing—a characteristic of the subpixel layout—and the sustained HDR brightness may struggle in rooms with heavy natural light compared to traditional Mini-LED alternatives.

Final Word: Despite the weak USB-C charging, the XG34WCDG remains a definitive buy for the "prosumer." By bundling industry-leading burn-in protections with a 3-year warranty, ASUS provides the peace of mind needed to invest in OLED technology. It is the most well-rounded 34-inch ultrawide on the market for anyone balancing a professional creative workflow with high-end gaming.
