ASUS ROG XG27AQDMGR 27 Inch 1440p 240Hz Glossy OLED HDR Gaming Monitor | 0.03ms, OLED Care Pro, TrueBlack Glossy, Neo Proximity Sensor, ELMB Sync, DisplayHDR 400, DCI-P3 99%, for PS5 and Xbox

Value: The ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMGR distinguishes itself with a TrueBlack Glossy WOLED panel, delivering a level of visual depth and color vibrance that traditional matte displays can’t replicate. Its 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time provide elite-tier motion clarity, essential for competitive gaming. The inclusion of HDMI 2.1 ensures full bandwidth for next-gen consoles, while the Neo Proximity Sensor proactively protects the display by automatically dimming the screen when you step away, significantly reducing long-term burn-in risk.

Trade-offs: At 27 inches, the 1440p resolution lacks the extreme sharpness of 4K, which can lead to minor text fringing during heavy productivity or office use. Additionally, while the glossy coating handles ambient light better than previous generations, the peak HDR brightness typically sits a step below the most expensive flagship QD-OLED alternatives.

The Verdict: Despite the trade-off in pixel density compared to 4K, the XG27AQDMGR is a definitive buy for performance-focused gamers. It bridges the gap between mid-range displays and high-end professional monitors by offering unmatched speed and a premium glossy aesthetic, delivering a high-fidelity OLED experience that feels significantly more expensive than its price tag suggests.
