Key Features
ULTRA-POWERFUL SUCTION: Delivers ultra-powerful suction and the best hair pickup of any Shark vacuum, providing deep cleaning performance on carpets, area rugs, and hard floors throughout your home.
DEEP CLEANING PERFORMANCE: DuoClean PowerFins HairPro combines two brushrolls to dig deep into carpets, directly engage hard floors, and pick up dirt, debris, and hair in every pass for exceptional whole-home cleaning.
PERFECT FOR PETS: The self-cleaning brushroll delivers powerful pet hair pickup with no hair wrap, while the included Pet Power Brush removes embedded pet hair from stairs, upholstery, and furniture.
POWERED LIFT-AWAY: Lift away the detachable pod for motorized cleaning under furniture, or detach the nozzle to easily clean stairs, upholstery, furniture, and other above-floor surfaces with the included Crevice Tool.
ANTI-ALLERGEN COMPLETE SEAL: Works with a HEPA filter to trap 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum cleaner, helping keep particles out of the air you breathe (based on ASTM F1977 of particles 0.3 microns or larger).
EASY-EMPTY DUST CUP: The removable dust cup empties in seconds, allowing you to quickly dispose of dirt and debris without touching the mess for more convenient whole-home cleaning.
GUARDS AGAINST BAD ODORS: Odor Neutralizer Technology guards against bad odors inside your vacuum, helping keep your vacuum smelling fresher between cleaning sessions.
LED HEADLIGHTS: Bright LED headlights on the nozzle reveal hidden dust, debris, and pet hair under furniture, along baseboards, and in low-light areas for a more thorough clean.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: Shark Stratos Upright Vacuum, HairPro Self-Cleaning Pet Power Brush, Upholstery Tool, Crevice Tool, and Owner's Guide.
The Verdict
The Shark Stratos AZ3002 delivers unmatched suction power in the consumer upright category, making it a powerhouse for heavy-duty cleaning and multi-pet households. The DuoClean PowerFins HairPro system eliminates the need to swap heads between surfaces, effectively pulling debris from deep carpet fibers and polished hardwoods alike. Users prize the Odor Neutralizer Technology, which keeps the exhaust smelling fresh, and the Powered Lift-Away feature, which allows for motorized cleaning under furniture that traditional uprights can't reach.
The trade-off is the significant weight; at nearly 17 pounds, it requires effort to maneuver, especially on plush carpets. Furthermore, while the suction is top-tier, the dust cup capacity is modest, necessitating frequent emptying during whole-home sessions. The stiff hose can also make above-floor cleaning feel slightly restricted.
However, these ergonomic hurdles are small prices to pay for the best-in-class hair pickup and filtration provided. When compared to premium competitors that cost significantly more, the Stratos offers superior raw performance and versatility, making it the definitive "buy" for anyone prioritizing a truly clean home over lightweight convenience.
