Shark NeverChange Air Purifier, HP152, Charcoal | For Home, Large Room, HEPA-Exceeding Filter with Odor Neutralizer, Captures Pollutants, Pet Dander, Dust, Smoke, and More

The Shark NeverChange HP152 is a strategic choice for users looking to escape the "filter subscription" trap. Its defining advantage is the NeverChange HEPA filtration, engineered to last up to 5 years, which eliminates the frequent $50–$100 replacement cycles common with competitors. Users highly value the CleanSense IQ sensor, which provides immediate visual feedback on air quality, and the washable Debris Defense screens that prevent pet hair and large dust from taxing the main filter. The integrated Odor Neutralizer is a standout for kitchens and pet owners, actively freshening the air rather than just scrubbing it.

The primary trade-offs are a higher upfront purchase price and the ongoing (though optional) cost of scent cartridge replacements. Additionally, while powerful enough for 650 sq. ft. coverage, the unit has a sturdier, wider footprint that may feel bulky in cramped offices. However, these minor inconveniences are easily offset by the $150+ in long-term savings on filters and the unit's medical-grade 99.98% particle capture. For anyone seeking a low-maintenance, high-performance purifier that pays for itself over time, the HP152 is a top-tier value proposition.
