Midwest Hearth Rock Wool for Gas Fireplace Embers, Made in USA, 6 Oz | Asbestos-Free Mineral Fiber, Vented & Unvented, NG & Propane Compatible, Realistic Glowing Embers Effect, Long-Lasting

REALISTIC GLOWING EMBER EFFECT – Rock wool mineral fiber glows like live coals wherever the flame makes contact, instantly transforming a gas fireplace or gas log set into a convincing wood-fire scene. Simply pinch small clumps and place near gas ports on the burner pan or on logs where flames touch.

MADE IN THE USA – Proudly manufactured in America using 100% asbestos-free mineral fiber. Unlike imported alternatives, Midwest Hearth Rock Wool is formulated to U.S. quality standards and has been trusted by homeowners and professional fireplace installers for over a decade.

COMPATIBLE WITH NATURAL GAS AND PROPANE APPLIANCES – Works with vented gas fireplaces and gas log sets. May also be used with unvented (vent-free) appliances; always follow your appliance manufacturer's instructions for vent-free applications, as requirements vary by unit. Compatible with both NG and LP systems.

INSTALLER-APPROVED TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS – For enhanced ember glow, use a stiff bristle brush to lightly flick a dusting of rock wool onto logs where flames will touch. Lightly spritz the log with water first to help the wool adhere. Do not pack wool tightly over gas ports — the flame must be able to breathe.

LASTS FOR YEARS – Mineral fiber composition resists extreme temperatures and does not deteriorate with repeated use. One 6 oz bag is sufficient to dress a full-size fireplace burner pan, with material left over for future touch-ups. Can be paired with lava rock or vermiculite for added depth and realism.
