Old Town Sportsman PDL 120 Pedal Fishing Kayak (Ember Camo) | 12 foot solo fishing paddle kayak with a 384 lb usable weight capacity and and hands-free propulsion

The Old Town Sportsman PDL 120 is a premier choice for anglers who prioritize rock-solid stability and hands-free maneuverability. Built on a 12-foot pontoon-style hull, this kayak allows for confident sight casting while standing, while the instant forward and reverse of the PDL drive provides precision positioning in wind or current. Users consistently praise the ultra-comfortable premium mesh seat and the industry-leading 5-year drive warranty, which offers significant peace of mind for a long-term investment.

Value vs. Trade-off
The primary compromise is the hefty 116-pound weight (135 lbs with the drive), which makes car-topping a challenge and almost necessitates a dedicated trailer or heavy-duty cart. Additionally, while the universal transducer mount simplifies setup, the premium price point does not include a paddle or electronics. However, these logistical hurdles are easily outweighed by the sheer reliability of the maintenance-free pedal drive and the boat’s massive 500-pound capacity. For the serious angler, the Sportsman PDL 120 is a top-tier "buy" because it eliminates the frustration of mechanical failures and unstable decks, delivering a professional-grade fishing platform that justifies every cent of its MSRP through durability and on-water performance.
