Pelican Catch Kicker 110 HDII - Sit on top Fishing Angler Pedal Kayak - Amazonia - HyDryve II Pedal System - Stable - 11 ft

The Pelican Catch Kicker 110 HDII is a standout for anglers who prioritize extreme portability without sacrificing pedal-driven performance. At a hull weight of just 59 pounds, it is significantly easier to car-top and transport solo than almost any other pedal kayak in its class. The HyDryve II fin system excels in shallow water and heavy vegetation, where propeller drives typically struggle, and the Ergoboost seating provides the necessary height for an improved field of vision and all-day ergonomic support. The inclusion of integrated rigging tracks directly into the carry handles is a clever design choice that maximizes utility without cluttering the deck.

The primary trade-off is that the HyDryve II system lacks instant reverse, requiring more strategic maneuvering in tight spots compared to higher-end propeller or 180-degree fin drives. Additionally, its lightweight construction means it is more susceptible to wind drift on open water than heavier, rotomolded alternatives.

However, these limitations are easily managed when contextualized by the price. You are getting a highly stable, pedal-powered platform for a fraction of the cost of premium brands. For the angler who needs a lightweight, shallow-water specialist that is easy to store and deploy, the Catch Kicker 110 HDII remains a top-tier value purchase.
