Sceptre New 22-Inch Gaming Monitor, FHD 1080p, Up to 144Hz, HDMI, DisplayPort, Built-in Speakers, Machine Black (E225W-FW144 Series, 2026)

The Sceptre E225W-FW144G (2026 Series) is a high-utility solution for gamers prioritizing speed and desk efficiency over sheer screen size. Delivering a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, this 22-inch display eliminates motion blur in fast-paced titles while maintaining a minimalist, near-bezel-less footprint perfect for seamless multi-monitor setups. The inclusion of integrated speakers and Blue-Light Shift technology adds immediate practical value for both intensive gaming and long work sessions.

Value vs. Trade-off
The core appeal lies in its exceptional price-to-performance ratio, providing a competitive 144Hz edge for a fraction of the cost of larger displays. Users appreciate the versatile connectivity via DisplayPort and HDMI, as well as the VESA mount compatibility for custom setups. The trade-offs are standard for the budget category: the tilt-only stand offers limited ergonomic flexibility, and the out-of-the-box color calibration may require manual tuning to look its best. Furthermore, while the built-in audio is convenient for a clutter-free desk, it lacks the bass and depth of a dedicated sound system.

Ultimately, these drawbacks are negligible when measured against the E225W-FW144G’s aggressive pricing. While you sacrifice a few inches of screen and premium ergonomics, you gain a highly responsive, high-refresh gaming engine that punches well above its weight class. It is an essential purchase for the budget-conscious player or anyone building a compact, high-speed workstation on a budget.
