DEWALT Portable 6 Gallon 5 Horsepower Wall-Mounted Garage Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner DXV06G

Value vs. Trade-off

The DEWALT DXV06G shines as a space-saving, high-utility garage vacuum. The absolute best feature is its wall-mounted design combined with a wireless remote control—allowing you to power the unit directly from the handle without walking back and forth. Users consistently praise the 20-foot ultra-flexible hose and its 21-pound "toolbox" portability, making it incredibly easy to detach from the wall bracket and carry to your car or driveway. With a 5 Peak HP motor and wet/dry/blow functionality, it delivers more than enough power for standard shop and vehicle detailing tasks while keeping your floor completely clear.

The trade-offs are directly tied to its compact nature. The 6-gallon capacity fills up fast during heavy water extraction or major woodworking cleanup. Additionally, the 10-foot power cord is noticeably short for a wall-mounted fixture, likely requiring an extension cord depending on your outlet layout, and the included remote can be fragile if dropped on a concrete floor.

Despite these limitations, the DEWALT DXV06G is a definitive buy for anyone who values a clutter-free workspace. While its $199 MSRP is a premium over standard floor vacs, it frequently drops closer to $99 on sale, making it an undeniable steal. Even at full price, the minor inconveniences of a smaller bin and a shorter cord are heavily outweighed by the sheer convenience of remote-activated suction and a clean, off-the-floor mounting system. If you want a versatile, highly mobile vac that effortlessly keeps your garage organized, this model is an excellent investment.
