Gotrax Dolphin 26" Step -Thru Electric Bike for Adults, Max 30 Mile & 20Mph | 500W Peak Motor, 30 Miles Range in Pedal-Assist, 7-Speed & Boost Mode, Front Suspension, 5 Assist Levels, Dual‑Disc, Purple

The Gotrax Dolphin 26" delivers a highly practical entry-level commuting experience built around a reliable 350W motor capable of 20 MPH top speeds. Its standout features emphasize ride comfort and versatility; the combination of front suspension, dual disc brakes, and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain elevates it above many basic budget models. Riders benefit from 5 pedal-assist levels and the convenience of a removable battery, all backed by the peace of mind of UL2849 safety certification.

As for trade-offs, the 280.8Wh battery capacity is small, resulting in a modest 15.5-mile range on pure electric mode and capping at 30 miles with pedal assist. This requires more frequent charging and limits the bike's utility for extended travel.

However, when factoring in the entry-level cost, this range limitation is a reasonable compromise. The Dolphin remains an excellent buy for short-range city commuters and casual riders who prioritize a comfortable, feature-rich, and safe ride over long-distance touring capacity, offering tremendous everyday value for its price bracket.
