The Verdict
Value
The Z-Edge UG27Q punches well above its weight by hitting the sweet spot of 1440p resolution and a fast 165Hz refresh rate on a 27-inch panel. Users love the smooth, responsive gameplay and the sharp detail it brings to both games and media. The 3000:1 contrast ratio combined with the immersive 1500R curve delivers deep blacks and pulls you directly into the action. The inclusion of dual DisplayPort 1.4 and dual HDMI 2.0 inputs makes it an incredibly versatile hub for multiple consoles and PCs.
Trade-off
Because it relies on a VA panel to achieve those deep blacks, you may notice some minor black smearing or ghosting during extremely fast-paced, dark scenes. Additionally, the peak brightness is adequate for average rooms but can struggle in very brightly lit environments. Some users have also noted that while the physical design is "frameless," there is still a thin internal black border around the active image.
The Verdict
When you look at the raw specs, the Z-Edge UG27Q offers a premium feature set at an entry-level price. The minor ghosting and average brightness are standard concessions in this budget bracket and are easily overshadowed by the massive visual upgrade of buttery-smooth 2K gaming. If you want to maximize your framerates and resolution without emptying your wallet, this monitor is an exceptional value and a definitive buy.
