Advanced Elements Packlite+ Packraft Two Person Inflatable Kayak, Blue

The Advanced Elements Packlite+ is a masterclass in weight-to-performance engineering for backcountry explorers. Weighing just 9.7 lbs in UltraLite mode, it provides a rare two-person capacity in a package that fits inside a standard hiking backpack. The 39-inch beam offers rock-solid stability that makes it nearly impossible to tip, even for novices navigating choppy lake water. Unlike cheaper vinyl inflatables, the 210D TPU-coated nylon hull is incredibly puncture-resistant and stiffens significantly under pressure, mimicking the feel of a more rigid craft.

Value vs. Trade-off
The primary trade-off is tracking and speed. Because it is exceptionally light and lacks a deep rigid keel, it can be pushed off-course by strong crosswinds, requiring more active correction than a 40-pound hard-shell kayak. Additionally, while it technically fits two people, the cockpit is snug; two large adults will find legroom at a premium.

However, these limitations are standard for the packraft category. When you consider that this boat replaces a heavy trailer or roof rack with a 17-inch carry bag, the convenience is unbeatable. For the hiker or traveler who needs a durable, ultra-portable tandem craft for remote alpine lakes or calm rivers, the Packlite+ is an essential buy that justifies its price through sheer accessibility and rugged build quality.
