BenQ GW2490 24" Computer Monitor 100Hz FHD 1920x1080p IPS Eye-Care Tech VESA Mount Thin Bezel Low Blue Light Adaptive Brightness Wall Mount Built-in Speakers DisplayPort HDMI Port2

The BenQ GW2490 is a standout choice for home offices and casual users who prioritize eye comfort without sacrificing visual fluidity. While most budget office displays cap at 75Hz, this panel’s 100Hz refresh rate provides a noticeably smoother scrolling and UI experience that reduces perceived flicker and eye fatigue.

Value: The High Points
Users consistently praise the Brightness Intelligence (B.I.) technology, which automatically adjusts screen brightness based on ambient light—a feature usually reserved for premium models. The 99% sRGB color gamut ensures that creative tasks like basic photo editing remain accurate, while the dual HDMI and DisplayPort inputs make it easy to toggle between a laptop and a desktop using the dedicated Input Hotkey.

Trade-offs: The Reality
The primary drawbacks are the integrated 2W speakers, which lack the depth required for meaningful media consumption, and a peak brightness of 250 nits, which may struggle in rooms with heavy direct sunlight. Additionally, the 1080p resolution is standard for this size but lacks the pixel density of higher-end 1440p displays.

The Bottom Line
Despite the weak speakers and modest brightness, the BenQ GW2490 remains an essential "buy" for students and professionals. For this price point, you are securing a color-accurate IPS panel and premium eye-care tech that competitors rarely match, making it an exceptional value for anyone spending long hours in front of a screen.
