TCL 65 Inch QM6K Series QLED Mini LED 4K HDR Smart Google TV, 65QM6K, 144Hz | Latest Model, High Brightness, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos Audio, Voice Remote, Premium Gaming

The TCL 65 Inch Class QM6K Series QD-Mini LED QLED 4K HDR TV delivers a compelling balance of performance and value for its price point.

Value:
Users will appreciate the QD-Mini LED technology, providing superior contrast, rich, vibrant colors, and deep blacks thanks to ultra-precise Mini LEDs and Quantum Dot technology. The TCL Halo Control System effectively minimizes blooming and enhances shadow detail, contributing to overall picture accuracy. For gamers and sports enthusiasts, the 144Hz native refresh rate (with 288Hz support at 1080p) combined with VRR and low input lag ensures smooth, fast action with minimal motion blur. Content compatibility is broad, supporting Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG. The integrated Google TV platform offers a user-friendly and responsive smart experience with extensive app access, while the Onkyo Audio with Dolby Atmos provides surprisingly detailed and powerful sound for built-in speakers. It's widely regarded as an excellent budget-friendly Mini LED TV offering impressive performance for its cost.

Trade-off:
While bright for SDR content, the QM6K's HDR brightness is only mediocre, limiting the full impact of HDR content compared to higher-end displays. Viewing angles, while improved over some predecessors, can still be narrow, leading to some image degradation when not viewed head-on. Occasional blooming around bright objects is still present despite local dimming efforts. Out-of-the-box color accuracy may require calibration for purists, and upscaling of lower-resolution content can sometimes be less refined. Minor lagging issues within the Google TV interface have also been reported.

Despite these minor limitations, particularly in peak HDR brightness, the TCL 65QM6K remains a strong "buy" for those prioritizing an advanced display experience at an accessible price. Its QD-Mini LED picture quality, robust gaming features, and smart platform make it an exceptional value, with any drawbacks well contextualized by its competitive cost.
