The Verdict
The ProBody Pilates Yoga Ball Chair is a high-utility hybrid designed to replace static desk sitting with active core engagement. Its standout feature is the included stability base, which solves the primary frustration of traditional exercise balls by preventing the seat from rolling away when you stand up. Users value the thick, anti-burst PVC construction and its versatility, serving effectively as a birthing ball, stretching tool, and ergonomic office seat.
Value vs. Trade-off
The main drawback is the multi-stage inflation process; the high-density material requires a 24-hour "stretch period" and a secondary top-off to reach its full 30-inch diameter. While the included hand pump gets the job done, it is a basic plastic tool that requires significant manual effort compared to a foot or electric pump. Additionally, sizing is critical—the 27-30 inch height is ideal for standard desks, but users with shorter workstations may find the height challenging.
Despite the initial setup effort, the lifetime replacement guarantee and sub-$40 price point provide exceptional security. For those seeking to alleviate lower back pain and improve posture on a budget, the ProBody Pilates is a top-tier "buy" that delivers professional-grade durability at a fraction of the cost of high-end ergonomic chairs.

About this product
- REPLACE YOUR OFFICE CHAIR (BURN ~50 EXTRA CALORIES PER HOUR) - A yoga chair on a stability base turns 8 hours of desk sitting into low-level active recovery. Your transverse abdominis, glute medius, and erector spinae fire while you type, code, or take Zoom calls - no $400 standing desk, no $1,200 treadmill desk. Lean forward, bounce lightly between meetings, and the wide stability base keeps this exercise ball chair for office sitting where you put it.
- BUILT FOR REMOTE WORKERS, EXPECTING MOMS, REHAB PATIENTS & KIDS - Work-from-home professionals stack 6+ hours of video calls on a workout ball to wake up the core. Expecting parents in the 3rd trimester reach for a yoga ball for pregnancy to open the pelvis and ease lower-back pressure (also a pregnancy ball and birthing ball). Rehab patients use it as a physical therapy ball; the exercise ball large doubles as a sitting ball for desk at the home-office workstation.
- REAL FITNESS BALL SPECS - 65 cm diameter (sized for 5'6"-6'1" at a 28-30" desk), 660 lb static-load anti-burst PVC, low-odor and phthalate-free. Inflates in 2-3 minutes with the included dual-action pump. Used as a ball seat, ball seat for desk, large yoga ball, desk ball chair, office ball chair, large exercise ball, yoga ball desk chair, or pregnancy yoga ball - depending on what shoppers call it in your circle.
- FITS HOME OFFICES, CLASSROOMS, NURSERIES & PT CLINICS - Pairs with sit-stand desk converters (28-35" heights), under-desk anti-fatigue mats, and a yoga mat for stretching breaks. Works as a yoga ball large during the workday, a maternity ball during contractions, and a homework-station seat for the kids after school.
- WHAT'S IN THE BOX & OUR 12-MONTH PROMISE - core ball, ring base, dual-action hand pump, 2 plugs with remover, and an illustrated quick-start guide. ProBody Pilates is a small US business that's been designing pilates and workout balls for exercise since 2014 - we inspect every chair set before it ships. If your ball bursts or leaks within 12 months, message us and we'll replace it.
