Victrola Journey II - Bluetooth Suitcase Record Player - Black | Built-in stereo speakers, 3-speed turntable plays 7", 10" and 12" records, Bluetooth in and out, headphone jack

The Victrola Journey II (2025 Model) is a refined evolution of the classic suitcase turntable, specifically engineered to solve the "thin" audio profile common in portable players. The standout upgrade is the integrated bass port, which provides a surprising amount of low-end depth that traditional suitcase models lack. Users consistently praise the VinylStream Bluetooth output, a feature that allows the turntable to act as a wireless hub, streaming vinyl audio directly to high-quality external Bluetooth speakers or headphones.

The primary trade-off is the use of a fixed-weight ceramic cartridge, which is standard for this class but lacks the tracking precision and high-fidelity nuance of an enthusiast-grade magnetic pickup. While the built-in speakers are noticeably fuller thanks to the new porting, they still cannot replicate the soundstage of a dedicated stereo bookshelf system.

However, at its accessible price point, the Journey II isn’t competing with audiophile rigs; it’s competing with convenience. For the casual listener or beginner, the combination of portability, modern wireless versatility, and improved acoustic warmth makes it a definitive "buy" that offers more functional value than any generic entry-level alternative.
