Dell 32 Monitor S3225QS, 4K UHD VA, 120Hz, FreeSync Premium, Eye Comfort | 3840x2160, 31.5in, 3000:1 Contrast, 300 cd/m2 Brightness, 4ms, 99% sRGB, Anti-Glare, HDMI, DisplayPort

The Verdict

The Dell S3225QS hits a rare sweet spot by bringing 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate to a non-OLED price point. It’s a specialized workhorse for users who want the clarity of Ultra HD combined with the fluidity of a high-refresh display without paying the "gaming brand" tax.

Value: Where it Excels
The primary draw here is the high-contrast VA panel, which delivers deep, "inky" blacks that far outperform standard IPS office monitors. When paired with its 95% DCI-P3 color coverage and 120Hz smoothness, it becomes a dual-threat tool: professional enough for color-accurate productivity and fast enough for high-end console gaming via HDMI 2.1. The upgraded 5W speakers and minimalist Ash White finish further elevate it from a basic peripheral to a centerpiece for a clean, modern desk setup.

Trade-offs: What to Consider
The use of VA technology means you’ll face narrower viewing angles than an IPS equivalent—colors may shift slightly if you aren't looking at the screen head-on. While the 120Hz refresh rate is excellent for fluidity, the inherent nature of VA panels can lead to minor dark-level smearing in extremely fast-paced scenes, meaning competitive FPS players might find it less "snappy" than an OLED or high-speed IPS display.

Bottom Line
Despite the trade-offs in viewing angles, the S3225QS is a top-tier "buy" because it offers the rare 4K/120Hz combo at a fraction of the cost of premium QD-OLED or Mini-LED monitors. If you value deep contrast for movies and productivity but still want a buttery-smooth gaming experience after hours, this is the most fiscally responsible way to get 120Hz 4K on your desk today.
