Samsung 24" Essential S3 (S36GD) Series FHD 1800R Curved Computer Monitor | 100Hz, Game Mode, Advanced Eye Comfort, HDMI and D-sub Ports (LS24D366GANXZA)

The Samsung Essential S3 (S36GD) is a punchy entry-level display that prioritizes smooth motion and visual comfort over high-end bells and whistles. Its standout feature is the 100Hz refresh rate, which delivers a noticeably more fluid experience than standard 60Hz screens, making it a strong choice for both productivity and casual gaming. Users frequently praise the 1800R curvature for creating a more immersive field of view and the TÜV-certified eye care technology that effectively minimizes blue light and flicker during long work sessions.

However, there are practical compromises. The inclusion of a D-sub (VGA) port feels dated and comes at the expense of a DisplayPort, which limits connectivity options for modern high-performance GPUs. Additionally, the build features a tilt-only stand, lacking the height or swivel adjustments found on more expensive ergonomic models.

Despite these trade-offs, the S36GD remains a top-tier value proposition. You are securing a brand-name curved panel with a high refresh rate that far outclasses typical office monitors in this price bracket. For students, home office users, or casual gamers looking for Samsung reliability without the premium price tag, this monitor is an excellent buy.
