Hisense 85" U8 Series ULED Mini-LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (85U8QG) - QLED, Native 165Hz, VRR 288, Up to LD5600, 5000 Nits, HDR10+, Dolby Vision IQ · Atmos, IMAX Enhanced, 4.1.2 Ch Audio

The Hisense 85U8QG is a luminance powerhouse that brings flagship-tier performance to a more accessible price bracket. With a staggering 5,000 nits peak brightness and 5,600 local dimming zones, it delivers industry-leading HDR highlights and near-OLED black levels, making it the ultimate choice for bright, sun-drenched living rooms. Gamers are exceptionally well-served by the Native 165Hz refresh rate and 288Hz VRR capability, providing motion performance that exceeds standard console requirements.

The Trade-off: To achieve this extreme contrast, the TV utilizes a panel that suffers from narrow viewing angles; colors and contrast will shift if you aren't sitting relatively centered. Furthermore, while the Google TV interface is feature-rich, it may occasionally lack the snappiness found on dedicated external streaming hardware.

The Verdict: These minor trade-offs are negligible when compared to the massive price-to-performance ratio. You are getting flagship zone counts and brightness that typically cost thousands more from competitors. For anyone seeking a top-tier 85-inch gaming and cinema display without the "prestige brand" markup, the 85U8QG is a definitive buy.
