Bissell CleanView Swivel Vacuum, Triple Action Brush Roll, 3836 | Multi-cyclonic suction; extension wand; easy-empty dirt tank; swivel steering for maneuverability

The Verdict
The Bissell CleanView Swivel (Model 3836) is a high-performance powerhouse for households tackling heavy pet hair on a budget. Its Triple Action Brush Roll and multi-cyclonic suction provide deep cleaning power that rivals premium brands, while the swivel steering makes navigating around furniture effortless. The 2024 addition of the Active Extension Wand significantly improves utility, offering a full 12 feet of overhead reach for ceilings and upholstery.

Value vs. Trade-off
The sheer cleaning efficiency is the primary draw, but there are logical concessions at this price point. The manual 5-level height adjustment requires a bit of trial and error between floor types, and the lack of a brush roll shut-off means it is less ideal for high-polish, delicate hardwoods. You also trade convenience for cost-savings with a standard manual cord wrap and a 25-foot power cord that may feel restrictive in larger open-plan spaces.

Why it’s a buy
Despite the manual adjustments and plastic-heavy build, the Model 3836 remains an essential purchase for those prioritizing suction strength and pet hair removal over automated bells and whistles. It delivers a professional-grade clean for a fraction of the cost, making it the best value-per-dollar upright currently on the market for busy, pet-filled homes.
