Dirt Devil Scorpion Plus Handheld Vacuum, Powerful Suction, Lightweight | Includes Pivoting Stair and Upholstery Tool, Hose and Dusting Brush, Corded Portable Vacuum

The Dirt Devil Scorpion Plus is a high-utility powerhouse for users who value raw suction over cordless convenience. Its 7-amp motor provides significantly more cleaning power than battery-operated competitors, making it a standout for aggressive pet hair removal and deep-cleaning car interiors. The integrated QuickFlip crevice tool is a major workflow advantage, allowing for seamless transitions into tight spaces without the need for external attachments.

The trade-off for this performance is centered on ergonomics. The unit is notably loud, and the 16-foot power cord means you will be tethered to an outlet, which can feel restrictive compared to modern wireless models. Additionally, the powerful exhaust stream can blow light debris around if the vacuum isn’t angled carefully during operation.

Despite these quirks, the Scorpion Plus is a superior choice when contextualized against its low price point. While budget cordless vacuums often suffer from battery degradation and fading power, this corded model provides consistent, industrial-strength suction that will last for years. For focused, heavy-duty tasks like stairs and upholstery, it remains an exceptional value that punchs well above its weight class.
